Morning folks, it's a good weekend of sport with the Irish Derby at the Curragh, Dublin hurlers v Kilkenny and the Dublin footballers v Kildare.
The Irish Derby is a hard one to call. Epsom Derby winner Ruler Of The World is the one to beat on form but he's just a little short in the betting for my liking. Could be a cracking race though - here's today's Irish Independent article:

Hi Wayne, was reading through old comments, and noticed yours, I don't rad your blog anymore for obvious reasons, but there is life during addiction, I used to buy the indo for your articles and Ian's (eye spy) but I don't buy print media any more for obvious reasons. Hope all is well and tell Ian he should stand for public representation, I'd vote for him!
ReplyDeleteHi Paddy, thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Last year, I studied a small bit of psychology in the evenings and I have to say, I find your blog a real eye-opener, quite fascinating really. Even though it's about your road to recovery, it's very enjoyable to read (as weird as that sounds). You have a real knack for expressing real, raw, honest feelings in writing which is something that is very hard to do. I hope you keep up the writing - hopefully it is somewhat cathartic and I wish you well. Could there be a book in there?
ReplyDeleteThanks Bud, that's because I'm a miserable bastard, if this all turns out good I'll be dumbstruck.
